ABOUT

Mariann Csoma has extensive experience in educational settings, including senior leadership roles such as Head of Wellbeing and Designated Safeguarding Lead within international schools. Her work leading wellbeing provision, safeguarding systems, and whole-school strategy has given her a deep understanding of school communities and the challenges faced by students, staff, and leadership teams.

As a Safeguarding Supervisor trained by the NSPCC, with further specialist training from COBIS and The Safeguarding Alliance, and as a trained child psychologist, she brings recognised expertise in safeguarding practice, supervision, and school-wide risk management. Her work is further strengthened by extended knowledge of the Swiss mental health and child protection systems, enabling her to support schools confidently within both international and local frameworks.

Her background in child and adolescent psychology, combined with her school-based experience, gives her a unique understanding of children’s developmental needs, the complexities of parenting, and the unique challenges of schools. This foundation supports her holistic, truly systemic approach, enabling her to work effectively with students, families, and educators in a coordinated, meaningful way.

Throughout her career, she has developed and implemented wellbeing initiatives, strengthened early intervention practices, and built PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) frameworks aligned with best standards in mental health and safeguarding. She is also an experienced trainer, working with school leaders, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance confidence, competence, and consistency across the community.

Her work is grounded in the belief that when schools, families, and students are supported together, children feel safe, connected, and able to thrive.

BRINGING MENTAL HEALTH TO EDUCATION

Led by Mariann Csoma, we support schools to embed wellbeing and safeguarding into their daily practice and long-term culture. Every institution—whether international, private, or state—faces its own unique challenges. We offer tailor-made services that respond to the specific needs of school leadership, staff, students, and the wider community.

We aim to help young people, and those who work with them, create safe environments where wellbeing is celebrated and recognised as essential to learning and success. With expertise in the fields of education, mental health, and safeguarding, we support schools in moving beyond reactive responses toward early identification, prevention, and sustainable wellbeing systems.

Our systemic approach provides integrated solutions for leaders, parents, and young people, ensuring everyone feels supported, informed, and confident. By strengthening the relationship between school and families, we help create learning environments where children feel safe, happy, and able to thrive.

OUR VALUES AND APPROACH

At the heart of my work is a simple principle: children’s mental health matters. Their well-being is shaped not only by their own experiences but by the relationships and systems surrounding them—parents, families, educators, and the wider school community.

My approach is firmly systemic, recognising that safeguarding and wellbeing are most effective when everyone around the child works together. I help schools, educators, and parents develop a shared understanding of children’s mental health needs, recognise early signs of distress or safeguarding concerns, and respond with clarity and confidence.

I support schools in building joined-up processes that strengthen communication between home and school, enhance staff competence, and ensure children feel heard, protected, and supported. By embedding safeguarding and wellbeing into the fabric of the school—rather than treating them as separate or reactive tasks—we create safe, consistent environments where children and young people can learn, grow, and thrive.
